Greetings!
SASTRA University has been recognized for its
excellence in academics and research in IT and as a
Centre of Relevance and Excellence (CORE) in
Advanced Computing & Information Processing by the
Technology Information, Forecasting & Assessment
Council (TIFAC), Department of Science & Technology,
Government of India. TIFAC CORE has entered
into the seventh year and here you can browse the
TIFAC CORE of last year.
TIFAC CORE has been partnering with industries in
tis area of specialization in the last six years and
it is a matter of pride that out students have been
excellent performers in industry. In out
MISSION REACH efforts of meaningful; research work,
we have successful delivered outputs to various
research and development organizations such as ECIL,
SETS, GDA Technologies, ISRO, DRDO, HCL
Technologies, Cypress Semiconductors, BARC and
Nanyang Technological University, among others.
Our TIFAC CORE has emerged as a successful
University partner for Industries in the last five
years and added Satyam Computers, SUN Microsystems,
ISRO and TCS as new partners in education and
research. In the computer networked world of
today, we have decided to transform the campus to a
wireless e-learning environment.
I thank all my colleagues at
TIFAC CORE and School of Computing who stood with me in its development and
SASTRA Management who encouraged and supported us to reach this success level.
My special thanks to our mentors and advisors in TIFAC, and the REACH Monitoring
Committee team for their constant inspiration and guidance. In our efforts
for a sustainable growth, we offer to take up consultancy and research for
industries and invite like-minded industries to join hands with us in this
technology mission of our country.
