Welcome to ICBH-2013
The international conference on exploration and advances for novel therapeautics mainly aims to describe how efficiently the abundant natural sources can be explored for novel drugs. Through this conference we hope to bring together international leading scientists, technologists and clinicians from pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry, biomedical sciences and pharmacy and those employed in the pharmaceutical or related industries around the world in a single platform who will be present and share their experiences by describing cutting-edge discoveries. It will provide a broad idea on the scope and status of different drugs currently available world over and particularly in India.
For developing therapeutic strategies against human diseases 'omics' information can be used for identifying and characterizing new drug targets. While identifying drugs and drug targets, for validation suitable assay methods needs to be developed. All these information can potentially contribute to the design and development of a wide variety of immunostimulants and immunomodulators that can be applied effectively across a wide spectrum encompassing diseases afflicting animals of commercial importance to those affecting humans. In the case of humans, it is important to note that such a strategy essentially looks at 'personalized therapeutics' aimed at providing relief from both mental and physical symptoms of disease. Medicinal plants, animals and sea weeds play a key role in human health care system. Variety of biochemical products are extracted and used as a source of feedstock and as raw materials for studying the effects in disease conditions and industrial utilization. The proper usage of naturally available sources by the pharmaceutical industry, the research institutions and the laboratories plays a crucial role in identifying novel compounds from different sources for producing a suitable dosage form and standardizing the methodology along with clinical studies, for this current modern instrumentation facilities and hi-tech methods allows identifying novel molecules for living kind. The need of the hour is to modernize and standardize the medicinal formulations and methodologies of ancient days. The accurate formulations developed from the natural source are expected to be more than US $7 trillion by 2050, but in India awareness and importance of natural remedies are not established equally as the other systems.
In this scenario, the conference focuses on the gathering of experts in the field of identification, production, dosage form development and standardization of methodology for the components availed from different natural and other sources for better administration of dosage form by the patient and betterment of living kind.
