SASTRA questions ToI Rankings
SASTRA University questions the Times of India’s ranking of Indian Universities, which it jointly conducted with GFK Mode study. When the questionnaire was sent to SASTRA University, the University in its reply brought to the notice of the research agency that a number of critical parameters like research, consultancy, academic infrastructure, tuition fees, etc. were missing. The fundamental characters
of any University include top academic infrastructure and research engagement and any initiative to rank Universities cannot ignore these fundamental components.
Though ToI ranks SASTRA University amongst the top 10 Private Universities and amongst the 20 Public and Private Universities in the country, we would like to inform the readers of Times of India as well as other well wishers of SASTRA that SASTRA University does not subscribe to this methodology. This information is given in the general interest of the public and well wishers of SASTRA.
