Organizers

Biotikos Association

Biotikos is a student driven community of the School of Chemical and Biotechnology, SASTRA. We primarily aim at spreading knowledge, especially in the field of life sciences. Not only do we keep ourselves informed, but also endeavour on interlinking students across various departments, through the 'Techforum' that we conduct every fortnight.

These forums bring about yet another opportunity for a two-way interaction between the juniors and seniors and it effectively helps in arriving at a solution to every issue in question. It is profitable both for the speaker and the audience as we collectively try to perceive every possible dimension of the subject.

Apart from forums, we organize two techfests every academic year- one at the intracollegiate level called REVERBERATIONS and the other at intercollegiate level called samhitha. In both of these fests, we conduct interesting events and impart knowledge to the commons by inviting prominent guest speakers.

Biotikos is also the proud partner of the intradepartmental monthly magazine called 'BIOSPACE', which figuratively 'gives space for writers to flaunt their writing skills as well as hone them. In addition, we collect articles from eminent scientists and enthusiastic students from around the globe to publish them in our annual tech-magazine called 'Nucleo'.

All these efforts make Biotikos one of the most active associations of SASTRA and we are striving to continue to be the same, while at the same time accomplishing our goals.
