1. Objectives of the M.Ed. Programmes

       a)  To provide Leadership in the field of Education

       b)  To produce worthy Teacher Educators

       c)  To produce good Administrators of Education

       d)  To promote Research in Education

       e)  To promote innovative practices

2.  Eligibility of Admission

A candidate shall be admitted to the course provided He / She has passed a Degree examination in Education of this university or some other University recognized by the SASTRA University as equivalent there to.

3. Duration

The Course will be spread over one year and will be of annual pattern.

a) Core Subjects

Paper I – Philosophical and Sociological foundations of Education

Paper II – Advanced Education Psychology

Paper III – Research Methodology and Educational Statistics

Paper IV – Instructional and Communication Technology

Paper V – Curriculum Development

b) Dissertation

      Alternate Paper I - Guidance and Counselling

      Alternate Paper II – Educational Management

5. Dissertation

The Students doing M.Ed. will do one paper entitled Dissertation in pursuance of the core paper Research methodology and Educational Statistics. Topics for dissertation shall be decided in consultation with the Guide. The Dissertation should be neatly typed manuscript based on original investigation (Double Spaced and on one side only).
