Vision 2025
The guiding model forms the fundamental block for perspective planning & vision to become a world–class university and drives all short, medium and long–term goals.
SASTRA's Vision 2025 Document is after assessing, examining and re-examining its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities & challenges to not only set goals & priorities but also to provide a comprehensive road map. It presents the goals, objectives, flagship initiatives, and key implementation strategies of SASTRA to become one of the most highly respected institutions in the country, provide leadership & excellence in teaching & research, nurture creativity & innovation, increase global visibility through collaborations and provide a strong social interface.
SASTRA has identified eight strategic areas – Teaching-Learning, Expanding Education, Research Excellence, Collaborations, Student Engagement, Social Interface, Global Recognition & Ranking and Finance and four enablers viz-a-viz Infrastructure, Faculty Excellence, Curriculum and Quality Services.
The aspirations of SASTRA, technology advances, faculty retention, dynamic expectations of the student community and evolving competitive scenario have been given priority in implementing the strategic plan. These aspirations are translated through twelve flagship initiatives and are presented in detail in the Vision 2025 document.
