FROM THE CO-ORDINATORS DESK
Considering scope of this world class facility and the growing success of the triangular linkage of Industry, Academia and Government in the emerging areas of technology we are concentrating on, this TIFAC CORE has been granted a second term of three years and
extension of support from TIFAC, DST. We are committed to strive for excellence to achieve global competence and self sustainability and bring this to the forefront of education and research.
It is a matter of pride that TIFAC has remarked our performance as exemplary. In an interview with Frontline, in his critical assessment of TIFAC COREs, Dr Chidambaram, TIFAC Chairman and Principal Scientific Advisor to Govt. of India, observed this TIFAC CORE as a success story. On behalf of TIFAC CORE at SASTRA, I express our immense gratitude to Secretary DST, Chairman TIFAC, Executive Director TIFAC, Mission REACH Advisor TIFAC, Mission REACH coordinator, Chairman of RMC, members of RMC, Industry partners and all the advisors and various experts visited, for their significant contributions through financial support and valuable suggestions all through the last four year which has helped us to improve the functioning and to increase the confidence levels.
TIFAC CORE is indebted to the Vice Chancellor and the Management of SASTRA University for the continued encouragement, moral support and the commitment of continued financial support. As coordinator of the programme, I thank all my colleagues at TIFAC CORE and School of Computing who worked with me to reach this success level.
We have been privileged to participate and successfully complete some research and development projects for few industries in the past year which resulted in our own IP core, thereby contribution to industry and product development and product improvement for some. In our humble efforts of participation in the high-tech future of the country, we offer to join hands with industries. We inivite technically likeminded organizations to collaborate with us in R&D activities which will help each other to benefit from such a synergy by way of enhancement of the research and learning experiences.
Let us grow together and contribute to this technology mission.
