ABOUT CONFERENCE

Recently, the COP 26 UN Climate Change Conference took place from 31 October to 12 November 2021 in the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) in Glasgow, UK. Participant nations took a range of decisions in the collective effort to limit global temperature rise to 1.5 degrees. The Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE) re-emphasized the need to empower all members of society to engage in climate action, through education, training, public awareness, public participation, public access to information, and international cooperation on these issues. Hence, SASTRA Students’ ExNoRa along with SASTRA management also would like to join hands for the climate actions to combat the nearing climate emergency that will be a threat to mankind on this planet. This hybrid conference titled “Global Warming and Climate Emergency- Visions and Missions (GWCE-2022) will provide a good platform for young climate advocates and action plan members to get inspired by many climate change researchers, policymakers, and experienced climate change experts.

Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology & Research Academy (SASTRA Deemed to be University) is a Category - I University (University Grants Commission’s Graded Autonomy Regulations 2018) offering Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral programmes in Engineering, Sciences, Education, Management, Law and Arts. ABOUT SHASTRI INDO-CANADIAN INSTITUTE

The Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute is a binational organization that promotes understanding between India and Canada through academic activities and exchanges. Our broad-based initiatives support the creation of binational links between academia, government, the business community and civil society organizations by funding research and hosting seminars. ABOUT SASTRA Students' ExNoRa

SASTRA Students' ExNoRa is a student activity group at SASTRA Deemed to be University involved in environmental-related activities. We are part of ExNoRa International,a non-governmental environmental service organization started in 1989 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, by M. B. Nirmal, a social activist. It focuses on preserving nature and preventing environmental degradation.
