JRF Position in Developmental Biology – Intracellular Signaling and Tissue integrity


Project Title Genetic and Molecular investigation ofIntracellular trafficking complex implicated in maintaining tissue integrity and tumorigenesis using Drosophila melanogaster.

Essential qualification First class in M. Sc. or M. Tech. (Biology, Lifesciences, Biotechnology/Bioengineering, Bioinformatics/BioPhysics or related fields).
Project Description Using Drosophila, common fruit fly as model organism, a genetic screening has been carried out to identify components of intracellular signaling important for maintaining tissue integrity. By taking both genetic and biochemical approaches this project aims to investigate the role of theseIntracellular trafficking components in maintaining tissue integrity and tumorigenesis.
