Abstract Submission Guidelines

Abstracts should present new research or developing information on antimicrobial resistance and related field. Abstracts are selected on the basis of their scientific significance, timeliness, quality of data and methodology, adherence to specific format requirements, and other criteria described herein.

The Scientific Program Committee and external reviewers will review and score submissions, after which the disposition of each abstract will be sent via e-mail to the presenting author and corresponding author, listed on the abstract submission form.

Poster Presentation Guidelines

Dimensions

The poster boards are 3.2 feet (38.4 inches) by 3.2 feet (38.4 inches) long landscape orientation. The useable area of the poster board is 3.1 feet (37.2 inches) by 3.1 feet (37.2 inches) and is the maximum recommended size for the poster boards. Font size should maintain appropriately so poster can be seen at a minimum of 10 feet away. Push pins will be provided for your poster. The displays are also allowed minimum A3 sheets size.

Oral Abstract Presentation Guidelines

  • Selected abstract submissions will be presented during Oral Abstract Sessions.
  • Authors will present their research work in a specific topic area, and presentations will be moderated by experts in the field.
  • A Scientific Overview may be included in an Oral Abstract Session, as appropriate, or a moderator may provide a brief translational summary at the close of a session.
  • A comoderator will also be on hand to facilitate audience questions.
  • Presentation Length Oral presenters will be allocated 10 minutes for their presentation and 5 minutes for questions and answers with the audience.
  • You may choose to use more than 10 slides, but please be sure to complete your presentation within the allocated 10 minutes.
  • Slide Format will support MS PowerPoint only. High definition (HD) projectors will be used for all sessions.
