Coordination chemistry is a blend of inorganic, organic and physical chemistry. It finds wide applications in biological systems, drug discovery, chelation therapy, catalysis etc. This course will give a clear understanding of meaning of coordination chemistry, theories of bonding, spectral and magnetic properties of coordination compounds, which will help the students to understand their role in the different disciplines cited above.
