Of these, about 250 projects were sanctioned during the ASK I & II –
period 2015–20 at an outlay of Rs 92.39 Crore. Twelve Twin Towers for
bi/trilateral international funded research projects with Research &
collaborators from Austria, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Innovation
Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Switzerland,
United Kingdom, USA & Uzbekistan have been carried out
thereby improving the global footprint of SASTRA.
Faculty and students of SASTRA have published 10,036 22 Inter-disciplinary
publications resulting in over 83,000 citations with a research centres
h–index of 89. Also, 63 patents have been filed and 11
including one US patent have been granted. SASTRA fully
funds faculty for filing patents, and also facilitates discussions

SASTRA has created a vibrant innovation ecosystem in the
form of two Technology Business Incubators supported by
DST and DBT to promote ideation, incubation and innovation

Further, SASTRA promotes ‘lab-to-market’ translation of the
innovative research outcomes from its labs. The two campus
incubators have 67 incubatees that work on technology

Apart from carrying out cutting-edge research in science, US & 10 Indian
engineering and technology, SASTRA also engages in skill patents awarded
development activities, social and community outreach for the
benefit of rural youth, farmers and women. Eighty functional
MoUs with various academic and industry partners facilitate
joint research and exchange of faculty & students. SASTRA
has also created industry sponsored labs and Chairs in areas Two government

In summary, SASTRA has been recognized for its excellence
in academics, infrastructure, research, human capital and

IGCAR, etc., and industry partners for their sincere and & corporate training
