2020-21 Campus opening Schedule & Instructions

  1. Pursuant to the notification by Tamil Nadu Government dated 31-1-2021 regarding opening of HEIs, it is proposed to commence on-campus academic activities in a phased manner in compliance with the competent authorities’ SOP on Covid-19.

    ***For M.Tech. (5-year Integrated) Medical Nanotechnology and Biotechnology programmes, classes will be conducted online from February 24 to March 20, 2021. On-campus classes for these programmes shall commence on March 24, 2021

  3. Eighth Semester Engineering students who have opted for on campus project work shall report to campus on March 8, 2021
  4. Timetables for online and on campus classes will be made available in the University website on February 18, 2021. CBCS registration shall be on February 20, 2021
  5. Invite to join the GCR will be sent to the registered students through email to their This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by the faculty and students shall join the GCR immediately without fail
  6. The weightage for CIA will be 25 % for courses conducted online and 50% for courses conducted on campus
  7. End semester examinations for all the programmes shall be conducted on campus through paper and pen mode
  8. With a view to reduce the burden of online learning, registration for ACRS Open Elective courses by eligible IV and VI semester students shall be deferred to next semester as adequate time for completion of ACRS OE courses before final semester is available
  9. All freshers shall bring the applicable original documents: HSC mark sheet / TC / Migration certificate / UG mark sheets / Degree certificate on the opening day for submission & verification
  10. Online registration for hostel accommodation / transport facility shall be between February 10 & 12, 2021. Allotment of hostel rooms shall be available online by February 20, 2021 for eligible students. Hostel is only for students residing in places beyond 75 km travel radius from main campus. There is no hostel facility for students admitted to SRC Campus in Kumbakonam and such students are advised to report early for nearby private hostel accommodation. Online registration for University bus service form Trichy/Thanjavur/Kumbakonam shall commence on February 15, 2021.

 

We advise all students to exercise maximum caution while travelling and extend full cooperation with the University authorities. The calendar of activities is planned based on existing SOPs issued by competent authorities. If there are any future relaxations / restrictions, we shall make appropriate changes & implement them with caution & advance notice.
